Thilerna Laurine (nee Noascono) Mandeville, 80, of Glen Carbon, passed away on May 31, 2024, joining her dear parents and loving husband in their eternal home.
Laurine was born May 5, 1944, in East St. Louis. She grew up in Collinsville and worked at the Collinsville Police Department for over 20 years. She was very involved with the Khoury League in Maryville and a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Collinsville. After retirement from the police department, her focus shifted to enjoying more time with family and friends.
Laurine was preceded in death by her husband Harold "Skip" Mandeville, her parents Paul and Virginia Noascono, her brother, Tom Noascono, and her grandson, Luke Reichert.
She is survived by her children Lorie (Wayne) Reichert, Karen (Jeff) Budnicki, Christine (James) Quillman, Jennifer (Clinton) Lunn, and Steven (Ashlee) Mandeville; grandchildren Isaac (Katy) Reichert, Jake (Julie) Reichert, Staci (Eric) Ramirez, Matthew and Melissa Budnicki, Dustyn and Aaron Peery, Noah Reichert, and Mason Mandeville; great-grandchildren Billy, Chase, Willow and Rowan; brother Don (Nancy) Noascono; her dear aunt Thilerna (Rodney) French; many loving cousins, nieces and nephews; and long-time special friends Enda Antonovich, Barry Adler, Ginnie Jensen, and Lark Albert.
She was noted for her infectious laugh, as well as her generous spirit and her final act was the gift of organ donation.
Visitation and funeral services will be celebrated on Friday, June 14 at 10:00 a.m., at Herr Funeral Home, 501 W Main St, Collinsville, IL 62234, with burial immediately following at Lakeview Memorial, 5000 N Illinois St, Fairview Heights, IL 62208.
Laurine requested donations be made to Vietnam Veterans of America or United Service Organization.
