Thomas Andrew Aaron

Thomas Andrew Aaron, age 37, of Amarillo, left this earth on February 12, 2024.
A memorial service will be on Monday, February 19, 2024, at 1:00 PM at Schooler Funeral Home, Brentwood Chapel. The Rev. Greg Corona of Hillside Christian Church will officiate. The family will receive guests starting at 12:00 PM prior to the service at 1:00 PM.
Tom was an amazing human being who had great stores of compassion and empathy for others. He was a gifted writer and communicator with wisdom and insight beyond his years. Someone who knew him very well said that "in the challenges of his illness, which would have made most lose faith and become angry and bitter, Tom never lost his faith or commitment to God. Despite his almost constant suffering, his ability to still respect and care about others and his desire to be kind and fair amazed me." Tom had a strong faith with equally strong questions for the God who loves him.
Those qualities shaped his remarkable sense of humor. His recognition of the fallibility of the human condition made his humor warm and good-natured, and spot-on. He had a wealth of material, and his delivery was effortlessly perfect. He was kind, generous, and open.
He loved his dog, Annabelle, a long-haired border collie mix who'd go with him everywhere, sitting in the front seat, looking out the window like any other passenger. If Tom turned his head to the left, she did, too. If he turned to the right, she did the same. She'd lean into turns. And wherever he'd go, her eyes never left him.
He was strong and brave and fiercely struggled to overcome the illness that ultimately took his life, and the world is so much poorer for it.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Edmund and Rose Guglielmi, and by his maternal uncle, Michael Farace, and maternal aunt, Grace Minella.
Tom is survived by his mother, Celia Guglielmi of Amarillo; four brothers, Jeff Fields of Amarillo, Joe Fields and his wife Pauline of Prosper, Clay Aaron and his wife Shelby of Pflugerville, and Brian and Brenda Ramirez of Taveres, Florida; aunt, Linda Guglielmi and her husband Ted DeBlanco of Allentown, PA; by his nephew and niece Logan and Lauren Fields; nephew Hunter Ramirez and his significant other Sara Freedman, and their son Weston; nephew Addison Ramirez and his wife Adena; and by his beloved friend and constant canine companion, Annabelle.
