Thomas Abruzzino, 75, of Greenfield, passed, with his faithful companion, his dog "Woody", by his side, at 7:49 p.m. Tuesday, October 31, 2023 in The Ohio State University's Wexner Medical Center following a brief illness.
He was born August 23, 1948, in Cleveland, Ohio to the late Joseph and Nellie (nee Cordray) Abruzzino.
Surviving are a son, David (Lori) Abruzzino, of Wickliffe, OH; a daughter, Joanne Abruzzino, of Wickliffe, OH; grandchildren, Makenzi, Nathan and Brantli; siblings, Chuck (Judy) Abruzzino, of Dayton, OH, Connie (Mike) Nierzejewski, of Ashtabula, OH, Tony (Debbie) Abruzzino, of Ashtabula, OH, and Julie (Randy) D'Aloiso, of Nordonia, OH; several nieces and nephews; and companion, Carolyn Knisley, of Bainbridge. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a sister, Kathy Abruzzino.
Thomas was a driver for the Ross County Veterans Service Commission for many years. He loved country music, especially the Willow Creek Band. Thomas enjoyed going to the Paxton Theatre in Bainbridge, Ohio, volunteering at the Chillicothe VA Medical Center where he worked as a greeter, golfing, fishing, and enjoyed joking with the people around him. His one liners never failed to make people laugh.
A celebration of his life will be held at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of the WARE FUNERAL HOME.

Tom will surely be missed. I had the privilege of partnering with Tom on the Ross County Golf Association League. There was never a dull moment golfing with Tom. I will definitely miss him.
