Thomas C. Bachman Sr of Falls died Sunday at Geisinger Wyoming Valley surrounded by his loving family. He is survived by his wife of fifty-six years, Louise. Born in Johnson City, New York, he was the son of the late Charles Bachman and Allene (Brooks) Bachman. Thomas was a graduate of Falls Overfield High School and Kings College. Thomas proudly served his country, state, and community for forty-seven years. Thomas was a veteran of the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War. Thomas served as a Trooper in the Pennsylvania State Police for twenty-three years; as the Chief County Detective for the Wyoming County District Attorney's Office for thirteen years; and as a school resource officer for the Lackawanna Trail School District for seven years. He was a member of Saint Frances Cabrini Church, and a member of the VFW.

Also surviving are a son Thomas Bachman Jr of Falls; daughter Catherine and husband Jason Wagner of Falls; a sister Sheree Vesloski of Duryea; four grandchildren Thomas Bachman III, Marietta Bachman, Jordon Wagner, and Caitlin Wagner; one great grandchild Thomas IV (T4); and several nieces and nephews. He was proceeded in death by a brother Edward Bachman, and two sisters Janet Malavenda and Charlene Stage.

A mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday November 29, at 11:30 A.M. at St. Frances X. Cabrini Church, 585 Mount Olivet Road, Wyoming. Friends may call at the church from 9:30 A.M. until mass time.
