Thomas “Tom” Joseph Bacino, 82, Rockford, passed away Friday, August 9, 2024, at Allure of Pinecrest surrounded by his loving family. He was born February 10, 1942, in Rockford, the son of Joseph and Mary (Spinello) Bacino. Tom married Sandy Fasula in Rockford on June 1, 1963. He worked as a Production Manager for Courier Printing until his retirement. He was a lifetime member of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church. Tom loved spending time with his family who was the most important part of his life. Special thanks to the staff at Allure of Pinecrest and Serenity Hospice for their kind and compassionate care.
Survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Sandy; his daughters, Tam (Tim) Fitzgerald, Pam (Dan) Heitz and Kim Campbell; his grandchildren, Brendan (fiancé, Jacquie Woods) Fitzgerald, Sean Fitzgerald, Claire (Keagan) Meehan, Michael (Katie) Krantz, Lizzy (Brendan) McCrudden, Katie (Ryan) Myers, Maggie (Stew) Sabatino, Anna (fiancé, Paul Redmann) Campbell and Jack Campbell; bonus grandchildren, Lauren (Heitz) Heggie, Courtney (Heitz) King, and Curtis Heitz; 8 great-grandchildren and his brother, Ted Bacino. Predeceased by his parents, his granddaughter, Sarah Krantz, 2 brothers (Joseph and Matt), and 2 sisters (Jay and Marilyn).
Funeral Mass will be held 11:00 A.M. on Wednesday, August 14, 2024, at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, 1010 Ferguson St. Rockford, with Reverend Carl Beekman officiating. Visitation will be from 10:00 A.M. until the time of Mass on Wednesday at the church. Arrangements by Fitzgerald Funeral Home and Crematory, Mulford chapel, 1860 S. Mulford Rd. Rockford, IL 61108.
