In Loving Memory of Thomas (Tom) Elmer Ballah
Tom Ballah, age 72, peacefully departed this earthly realm on February 1, 2024, to be reunited with his Lord and Savior and Heavenly Father, assisted by the comforting presence of the Holy Spirit.
Born on February 5, 1951, in Leoti, Kansas, Tom was the son of Elmer and Alma Schroeder Ballah. He spent his early years in Tribune, Kansas, before becoming a resident of Leoti, Kansas in 1971 and moving to Ava, Missouri, in August 2023.
Tom dedicated much of his life to the agricultural community as a farmer, seed salesman, crop dusting service and as a center pivot irrigation branch manager in Leoti, Kansas.
His passion for the Lord, the land and commitment to his work and his family left an indelible mark on the community and those around him.
His one hobby was pheasant hunting with his sons and friends from Denver, CO.
On June 19, 1971 he married Anne Michelle Cavenee. Their union of 52 years was a testament to the enduring strength of their bond.
As a young adult, Tom accepted Yeshua Jesus as his Lord and Savior and made it his life goal to serve the Lord through serving in the church leadership, teaching Sunday School and many Home Groups with his wife.
Tom is survived by his loving wife, Anne Michelle Ballah, and their four children: Jennifer and Chuck Underwood of Salina, Kansas; Jason and Ladonna of Vermontville, Michigan; Joshua and Krystal of Otis, Colorado; Jered and Nicole of Pittsburg, Pennsylvania. He leaves behind a legacy of eight grandchildren – Chelsey Hoover, Bailey Underwood, Elliana, Janae, Kayla, Nathaniel Ballah, Kylee, and Jayce Ballah – and one great-granddaughter, Olivia Hoover and one sister, Janice Ballah, of Tribune, Kansas.
Tom was preceded in death by his parents, and his brother Jack.
A celebration of life service will be held at Clinkingbeard Funeral Home, Ava, MO at 11 am, Feb 5, 2024 and burial will follow at Ava City Cemetery in Ava, Missouri. Visitation will be prior to the service at 10:30 A.M.
A Memorial Service to celebrate Tom's life will be held at a later date in Tribune, Kansas, providing an opportunity for family and friends to come together and honor his memory.
