Thomas M. "Tom" Ballance

Thomas M. "Tom" Ballance, age 61, of North East, MD, passed away on Saturday, August 19, 2023.
Born in Wilmington, DE on October 17, 1961, he was a son of Irene (Lehowit) Ballance and the late Linden Ballance, Sr. Tom was a graduate of William Penn High School, class of 1980. He made his career with Aquaflow Pump & Supply, spending 37 years with the company.
An avid outdoorsman, Tom enjoyed spending his free time hunting deer. He could often be found cheering on his beloved Pittsburgh Steelers. Tom was a classic car enthusiast and loved to visit car shows.
Tom was preceded in death by his father, Linden Ballance, Sr. He is survived by his loving wife, Kathleen "Kat" (Sturgill) Ballance; children, Shane Ballance, Kevin Ballance, and April Davis; mother, Irene Ballance; brothers, Dan Ballance (Weigen), Rick Ballance (Mary), Lindy Ballance (Sandy), and Jeff Ballance; sister, Joanne Scatasti (Joe); "twin sister", Kathy Michaels (Ron); and many nieces and nephews.
A visitation for family and friends will be held from 9 am until 10 am on Saturday, August 26, 2023, at Spicer-Mullikin Funeral Home, 1000 North DuPont Parkway, New Castle, DE, where a funeral service will begin at 10 am. Interment will follow in All Saints Cemetery, 6001 Kirkwood Highway, Wilmington, DE.
