Obituary
Thomas Hilton Beesley Sr., of Milford, passed away on March 4, 2023, at the age of 64 after a long and valiant battle with cancer. He is predeceased by his sisters Mary Levatino, and Dianne Beesley. He is survived by his brothers John "Jack" William Beesley Jr., Robert "Bob" Edward Beesley, sister Donna Mallette, and his two sons Thomas "Tommy" Hilton Beesley Jr., and Tristan Roger Beesley from his marriage with the late Janet Lee George. In addition, he leaves behind a large extended family of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and many friends whom he loved very much.
A son of the late John William Beesley Sr., and Margaret "Peggy" Croteau, Thomas was born on January 20, 1959, in New Haven, Connecticut. He was a graduate of Milford's Joseph A. Foran High School, class of 1977. Thomas was a humble blue-collar working-class man, and held many jobs throughout his life from Owens Illinois, Pepsi, STAR distributors, and most recently at Eastern Bag & Paper as a warehouse machine operator. In his spare time, his favorite things to do included fishing, hiking, camping, and spending time with his sons.
Thomas was known by everyone in his life as an exceptionally good and generous man with an enormous heart who would give a stranger the shirt off his back and was always willing to help his friends and family whenever they needed him no matter what. He was always there for his late in-laws, Manuel and Delores Reis George, who loved him as their own son, and his brother-in-law, Paul Manuel George loved him as his own blood. He was a friendly man who never had trouble socializing, and always had funny stories to share.
In lieu of funeral services, the family requests that friends, family, and strangers alike honor Thomas's life and selfless nature by sending donations to the American Cancer Society, the Yale Cancer Center, or any charity of their choice.
