Tom was he president of NMG 's when I joined in 2005. He was always there when needed. At graduation I remember the big hug we gave each other. I remember going out to the city of Norfolk's Tree Farm in Chesapeake after the Water Steward class in '07 & making my first rain barrel. I purposely hosed his boat shoes & he did not get mad at me. We worked on many water steward projects. He meant a lot to me. I remember hearing him speak highly of me when I was nominated for vice-chair. I was shocked hearing his recommendation. He was a wonderful man & he kept doing work for the group for several years after he slowed down. I The last time I talked to him I called & talked to his wife for a while before he came to the phone. I am sorry to hear of his passing. He was a good man.
