Obituary of Thomas Arthur Bonafede
Thomas Arthur Bonafede, 64, of Fonda passed away on January 31, 2022. Born in Amsterdam on August 6, 1957 and is the son of the late David J. and Margaret (Bradt) Bonafede.
Survived by his loving wife whom he married on August 20, 1994 Nancy L. (Dorland) Bonafede of Fonda, his children Michael D. Bonafede of East Greenbush, Jason J. Leduc of Fultonville, John P. Leduc of Goffstown New Hampshire, Jeremy M. Leduc Bombay, Tracy L. Lewandowski of Fultonville, and Tamara Leduc of Johnstown. Thomas is survived by several grandchildren, great grandchildren, and many cousins.
Besides his parents he is predeceased by a brother William Bonafede, and also as seen here with his furry friend Freya who went ahead to save his seat.
During his lifetime Thomas was a 1975 graduate of Wilbur H. Lynch High School. Thomas worked for Montgomery County as a Social Worker for many years. Thomas was a Radio DJ for many radio stations in and around Amsterdam and loved the Beatles. Thomas also enjoyed reading comic books.
A Celebration of Life will take place at a later date, and will be announced.
In lieu of flowers contributions in memory of Thomas may be made to the Montgomery County SPCA, P.O. Box 484, Amsterdam, NY 12010.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of the Jackson & Betz Family Funeral Home, 15 Main Street, Fultonville, NY 12072.
