Grew up in Shoreview, Minnesota. Class of 1989 Mounds View High School graduate, U of M graduate engineering degree, Dakota County traffic engineer.
Tom is survived by his parents John and Sally Bowlin, his sisters, Kathleen (Keith) Haider and Theresa (Shawn) Gebhard along with nephews and nieces who loved him dearly.
Tom spent his life enjoying the outdoors, including 17 trips with his dad to the Boundary Waters Canoe Area, bicycling, hiking, canoeing and kayaking with friends, recent travels to Utah's Zion National Park with the Gebhard family and Colorado with brother-in-law, Keith.
Tom loved being an uncle for those kids, joining the family for road trips and watching kids play sports. If Tom was babysitting, he was the uncle that showed up to build a fort or camp outside for the night with the kids.
Tom was a life-long friend to many, a true caring person.
Devoted in his career as a Transportation Engineer and built meaningful friendships with many coworkers over the years.
Tom was passionate about cooking, baking, gardening and supporting the MN United soccer team.
His family and friends will miss him.

Mass 11:00 am with luncheon to follow directly after.
Memorials preferred in lieu of flowers or donation to National Park Foundation.
