In Loving Memory of a Remarkable Man
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Thomas Andrew Bowling, a cherished husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend. He departed this life on November 17, 2024, at the age of 78.
Tom was a man of vision and determination. Fifty years ago, he founded an HVAC business that became a cornerstone of his community, a testament to his entrepreneurial spirit and tireless work ethic.
Beyond his professional accomplishments, he was an avid horseman whose love for the open trails led him to achieve greatness as an AERC National Champion. He found joy and freedom on horseback, creating countless memories that will live on in the hearts of those who shared the journey with him.
He was also deeply committed to his community, serving on the Penryn Fire Board for 20 years. His dedication to public service reflected his desire to make a meaningful difference in the lives of others and leave a legacy of care and commitment.
At his core, Tom was a man of profound faith, unwavering love, and endless humor. Known for his storytelling and quick wit, he could light up a room with his presence. But perhaps his greatest gift was his ability to make everyone feel like they belonged. Whether a lifelong friend or a new acquaintance, he had a way of making people feel seen, accepted, and valued.
He adored his family, treasuring every moment with his beloved wife of 53 years, Nadine, their five children, and their spouses -Aaron & Wendy Willson, Allen & Brenda Durham, Shane & Holly Dees, Shawn & Lisa Bowling, and Matt & Tiffany Cantu-and their extended family of nine grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Each grandchild carried a unique nickname, a special touch that reflected his deep affection and playful nature.
A man of God, he lived his life with grace and compassion, inspiring all who knew him. While his earthly presence will be deeply missed, we find comfort in knowing he is at peace in his heavenly home.
A Celebration of Life will be held on December 13th at 1:00 PM at the Newcastle Cemetery.
Tom's legacy of love, service, generosity, humor, and devotion will remain in our hearts forever.
