Thomas Franklin "Frank" Brooks Sr.

Thomas Franklin "Frank" Brooks, Sr., 87, of Brooks, husband of Shirley Ann Meeks Brooks, died Thursday, April 24, 2025, at his home.
Born in Brooks, August 3, 1937, he was a son of the late Carl Francis and Ruby Hardy Brooks. Mr. Brooks was retired after twenty years of service from the US Air Force, where he served as an Aircraft Electrician, obtaining the rank of Technical Seargent. He served two tours in Vietnam, receiving numerous medals for his service to his country. He later retired from Norfolk Southern after twenty-three years, where he served as a Diesel Electrician. Mr. Brooks was a private family man and enjoyed working around his home and tinkering with cars.
He was a member of Brooks United Methodist Church.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Carl Brooks.
Surviving in addition to his beloved wife of sixty-nine years are a son Thomas Franklin "Frankie" Brooks, Jr. and wife, Kelly of Brooks; a daughter, Sharon Lynn Keiser of Jefferson; grandchildren, Ashley, Tyler, Nicole and Mitchell; seven great-grandchildren; sister, Louise Truett of Melbourne, FL; nephews, Jack Truett and Andy Meeks; and a niece, Rhianna Mills.
Funeral services for Mr. Thomas Franklin "Frank" Brooks, Sr. will be conducted Monday, April 28, 2025, at 11:00 AM from the Chapel of Haisten McCullough Funeral Home. Burial with full Military Honors will follow in Westwood Gardens.
The family will receive friends Monday from 10:00 AM until the service hour at the funeral home.
