Thomas E. Chesteen, 76, of Lake, MS, passed away August 26, 2023, surrounded by his children. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 29, 2023, from 12:00 PM until 1:50 PM at Wolf Funeral Services in Lake, MS. Services will take place at 2:00 PM in our Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Pine Ridge Baptist Cemetery in Lawrence, MS.
Mr. Chesteen born in May 26, 1947. He loved the outdoors, fishing, gardening, running and raising coon dogs. He was loved by anyone who met him. He was always there to help out in any way that he could. He was a great neighbor to everyone in the neighborhood. He served many roles in life, being son, brother, wonderful husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, deputy sheriff, police in Lake, truck driver, business owner, among other duties and MOST OF ALL FRIEND.
Mr. Chesteen is survived by his children, Cindee’ Hurtt (James), Melissa Oakes (Bobby), Missy Griffin (Eddie Massey), Carrie Bain, (Mike), Angel Johnson (Jay), Shannon Chesteen (Robbie), and Lorie Sullivan (Mike), Grandchildren: Shelee Hurtt, Merrilu Hurtt, Jennifer Parker, Casey Downey, Matthew Warren (Amanda), Eli Warren, (Karlie), Kayla Ellis (Tony), Hayden Bain (Nicole), Kaytleen Roberson (Josh), Dawson May, Brandon Sullivan (Logan), Brayden Sullivan, Destiny Chesteen, Joshua Oakes, Samuel Oakes, Victoria Oakes, Anna Sharp, Emily Sharp, Kayla Sharp, Colton Sharp, Brison Sharp. Great-grand children: Brady Downey, Brylie Downey, Hallie Downey, Jasper Warren, Georgia Kate Warren, Spencer Kate Parker, Bodie Lee Lodge, Dayson Ellis, Hadley Ellis, Raelynn Ellis, Leon Joseph Bain, Allie Joe, Ashlynn and Harper Robinson. 1 sister, Helen Stevens.
Mr. Chesteen is preceded in death by his wife Mary Chesteen, his parents, Henry Chesteen, Elvie Chesteen, sons, Robert (Buster) May.
Pallbearers: Brandon Sullivan, Brayden Sullivan, Matthew Warren, Eli Warren, Brady Downey, James Beavers, Hayden Bain, Joshua Oakes.
Honorary Pallbearers: James Hurtt, Mike Sullivan, Jay Johnson, Bobby Oakes, Mike Bain.
