Thomas Christopher Colon, Jr., 65, of Charlotte, North Carolina, passed away on October 29, 2025.
Thomas was a hardworking and dedicated man whose creativity and craftsmanship left a lasting impression on everyone who knew him. For 40 years, he worked as a cement mason, leading projects and earning a reputation for excellence and customer satisfaction. His skill, integrity, and pride in his work made him a true master of his trade. Beyond his career, Thomas embodied the entrepreneurial spirit. On weekends, he poured his energy into his own business, Decks For Less, where he built decks, repaired roofs, and took on concrete projects. His hands-on approach and attention to detail reflected his deep love for building and creating.
Though he preferred to stay out of the spotlight, Thomas’s devotion as a husband, father, and friend spoke volumes. He will be remembered for his kindness, generosity, and the quiet strength he brought to every part of his life. Thomas also found joy in fishing and sharing his passions with his nieces and nephews, passing down his skills and love for the outdoors — gifts that will endure in their hearts.
He is survived by his loving wife, Perla Colon; his daughter, Jennifer Colon; and his grandchildren, Elian and Yasen Colon. He is also survived by his sisters, Yvonne and Yvette Colon, along with many nieces, nephews, and friends who will miss him deeply. Thomas was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas Christopher Colon Sr. and Lucille Colon, and his brother, Anthony Mario Colon.
A funeral service will be held on November 4, 2025, at 11:00 AM at Queen City Apostolic Church 4530 N Sharon Amity Rd, Charlotte, NC 28205. Followed by the graveside service at Crown Memorial Park 9620 Rodney St, Pineville, NC 28134.
