Thomas Conway Obituary

Thomas graduated from Oscar Smith High School in Chesapeake, VA. He immediately went to work as a professional painter. During his career, he attained several certifications leading up to a level 3 N.A.S.C. certification in paint and marine applications. Thomas had recently worked for Bay Shipbuilding as paint superintendent. He had previously worked for and retired from Norshipco in Norfolk, VA.
Thomas loved painting, music, movies, gardening, lawn work and golf. He always kept a meticulous lawn. He had a great sense of humor and enjoyed making others laugh. He was very caring person who was always thinking of others before himself. Thomas will always be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather, and good friend.
Survivors include his wife, Tammy; two children, Megan (Pete) Jones, Williamsburg, VA and Christopher (Autumn) Martin, Jonesboro, AR: six grandchildren, Jayden, Connor, Riley, Landyn, Caitlin and Charley; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers and sisters.
Memorial services will be at 5:30 p.m. Saturday, SEPTEMBER 17, 2022, at Forbes Funeral Home with the Rev. James Gomez officiating. Friends may call from 4:00 until the time of service. On-line condolences may be offered at forbesfuneralhome.com
