Thomas was born in Monroe, New York to Thomas Coyle Sr. and Catherine Smyth. Thomas moved to Portland, OR following high school where he met Stacy Cowan. Tom and Stacy were married at McMenamins Edgefield on August 5, 2007. Their daughter, Keira Josephine, was born on July 17, 2008.
Thomas was an informational technology manager who worked for himself and many different companies over the past 25 years. A self-taught programmer, he brought his creative thinking and professionalism to all of his work endeavors. An avowed hobbyist, Thomas brought his natural curiosity to music, reading, motorcycling, woodworking, cooking, and board games. He relished his role as husband and father and enjoyed sharing these passions with his family.
Survivors include his wife of 17 years, Stacy Coyle and 15 year daughter Keira. His mother Catherine and siblings Bernadette, Kevin and Matt and their children who all reside in the upstate New York area.
An open house reception will be held on May 18th, between 11a.m.-3 p.m. at the Barley Room at McMenamins Edgefield. Memorial donations can be made to the gofundme effort to support Stacy and Keira at https://gofund.me/50eebcee
