Matthew A. Taitague (Matt), 37, formerly from Malojloj, was called home by our Heavenly Father on Wednesday, August 13, 2025, in Aloha, Oregon.
Matt now rejoices in eternal life, reunited with his father Fred L.G. Taitague; his maternal grandparents Dolores C. and Vincent Q. Perez and Jose and Fina Mantanona; his paternal grandparents Gonzalo M. and Ana L.G. Taitague; and his beloved cousins Vincent Perez, Dave Taitague, and Michael Taitague.
He leaves behind his devoted wife, Carolina S. Macias, and their two beautiful children, Jacob and Sirena Taitague. He is also survived by his loving mother, Lucy C. Taitague, as well as his siblings and their families:

Donna L. Perez: Jonah, Donovan and Kaylah, Diandra and Terrance, Frederick, and Dione

He will also be dearly remembered by his father and mother-in-law, Maria Abigail Macias and Pablo Salcedo, as well as his sisters-in-law and their families:

Alejandra Salcedo and Jesse Amezuca.
Along with his extended family in Oregon, along with countless aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends whose lives he touched, will forever cherish his memory. Matt will be remembered for his warm heart, dedication to family, and the love he shared with all who knew him.
Last respects for Matthew will be held on Friday, August 22, 2025, from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at Springer & Sons Funeral Home. Rosary, Mass, and Burial will take place on Monday, August 25, 2025. The Rosary will begin at 10:30 a.m., with Mass to follow at 11:00 a.m., at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church. Burial will be held at 2:30 p.m. at Mt. Calvary Cemetery, 333 SW Skyline Blvd, Portland, OR 97221.
Though his time with us was far too short, Matt's spirit, love, and laughter will remain forever in the hearts of his family and friends.
