Thomas Ray Crabtree, 55, of Lucasville, passed away on Saturday, May 31, 2025 at his residence. He was born on May 28, 1970 in Portsmouth to the late Thomas Franklin Crabtree and Deborah Mae McClary Crabtree of Lucasville. Surviving are his children; Thomas (Jocelyn Pettit) Crabtree of Sciotoville and Melina (Hunter Russell) Crabtree of Raceland, Kentucky; grandchildren, Deja Newton, Daxton Newton, Mylah Russell, Jenson Russell, Hailie Mae Crabtree, Jordynn Stanley, Jaelyn Pettit and Conway Evans; siblings, Willie (Stephanie) Crabtree of Otway and Pam (Michael) Bayless of Lucasville; several nieces and nephews; three special great nieces; many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. In addition to his father, Thomas was preceded in death by his grandparents; Jim (Emma) McClary and Katherine Altman.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 5, 2025 at Botkin Hornback Funeral Home in Otway with Pastor Alan Rose officiating. Burial will follow in Cooper Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home. The family respectfully requests that donations be made directly to the funeral home in lieu of flowers to help with funeral expenses.
