Thomas Jerry Craine

Funeral services for Mr. Thomas Jerry Craine will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 10, 2024, at Cherry Grove Baptist Church, Mittie, with Reverend Josh Eubanks officiating. Interment will follow in Cherry Grove Cemetery, Mittie, under the direction of Rush Funeral Home, Oakdale.
Mr. Craine, 87, of Mittie, entered eternal rest on Monday, August 5, 2024, at Tuscany House, Conroe, Texas.
Thomas was a loving father and grandfather, and a proud Mason. Dad enjoyed hunting, fishing, and gardening. He loved sitting on his porch watching the deer and squirrels in his yard. Thomas enjoyed putting up preserves, canning vegetables, and spending as much time outdoors as possible. Most of all, he loved his church and his church family, especially the monthly catfish fries. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
He is preceded in death by his papa, Charles Mahaffey; his father, Jimmy Craine; and his mother, Edith Mahaffey.
Those left to mourn his loss and cherish his memory include one son, Paul Craine of Channelview, Texas; two daughters, Melissa Haefy (Roger) of Conroe, Texas, and Michele Barnhart of Magnolia, Texas; five grandchildren, Christopher Wukasch, Jason Wukasch (Alicia), Michael Dennis (Mitten), Matthew Dennis and Megan Pickering (Evan); and three great grandchildren, Dean Johnson, Hunter Pickering, and Reign Wukasch.
A time of visitation will be held at Cherry Grove Baptist Church, Mittie, on Friday, August 9, 2024, from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Visitation will resume at the church on Saturday, August 10, 2024, at 8:00 a.m. until time of service.
