Thomas Lee Dalgleish

Thomas Lee Dalgleish, 72, a longtime resident of Lapeer, passed away on December 11, 2023, in the comforts of his home and with family by his side. He was born on April 10, 1951, in Pontiac, MI to Clarence & Esther Dalgleish. He graduated from Imlay City High School, Class of 1969. Following graduation, he became a Machine Repairman at Pontiac Motors for 39 years from 1970-2009. Tom married Judith Richardson on August 7, 1971, and they had 52 wonderful years of marriage.
Tom enjoyed hunting and was the known ringleader of deer camp in St. Helen for 40 years. He enjoyed annual camping trips to Old Orchard Park in Oscoda. Tom could often be seen out front at his home, sitting under the red maple tree with his dogs.
Tom was the past Governor of the Lapeer Moose Lodge 2433 and achieved the status of Fellow. He was Senior Vice President of the Lapeer VFW 4139, where he was often volunteering his efforts to help anyone in need. Tom was a proud family man, with an infectious laugh who will be deeply missed by many of friends and family.
Tom is survived by his wife Judith; daughter Amy Tindale; son Thomas Lee (Nicole) Dalgleish II; grandchildren Julian, Justin, Marisa, Thomas III, Anthony, Emma, Taea, Penelope, Jana, and Ronnie; great-grandchildren Ronan, Jaxon, and Jazmine; brother Jack Dalgleish; sisters Kathy Joseph, and Lorri (Dan) Betts; also many nieces and nephews. Tom was the beloved Godfather to Rob Evoy, Jennifer, Tysick, and Scott Evoy.
Tom was preceded in death by his son Adam Dalgleish, his aforementioned parents, parents-in-law Bob & Lucy Richardson; sister Faye Evoy; brother Barry Dalgleish.
A memorial gathering will be held on Friday, December 15th from 1-6 PM. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, December 16th at 1:00 p.m. A luncheon will follow at the Lapeer VFW.
Uncle Tom requests no flowers or material things. He wants you to spend your money by making memories with friends and family.
