Thomas Bernard Doyle

Thomas B. Doyle, of Oak Brook, passed away on Tuesday, April 22, 2025. Tom was born December 25, 1938 in Chicago, IL, to the late John and Catherine (Kelly) Doyle.
Tom was preceded in death by his loving wife, Patricia Ellen, whose artwork was a constant reminder of their beautiful life together. Tom is survived by his daughter, Patricia Kelly, "PK" for whom his great pride in both her professional accomplishments and personal escapades was evident.
He was a devoted brother of John (Georgeanne) Doyle, the late Michael (Nancy) Doyle and the late Rosemary (James) Etter and uncle to countless nieces and nephews.
Tom graduated from Quigley Preparatory High School and went on to Mundelein Seminary at St. Mary of the Lake. He then received his Master of Management at the Kellogg School at Northwestern University.
Tom was a former priest with the Archdiocese of Chicago and then spent his career of nearly forty years with the National Sporting Goods Association. He was an avid fan of the arts and held season tickets with family and friends to the Lyric Opera, Chicago Symphony Orchestra, and the Paramount Theater.
He loved giving back to his community and was a long-time member of the Village of Oak Brook Planning Commission, Friends of the Oak Brook Public Library, the Graue Mill Board and the LaGrange Soup Kitchen.
Visitation will be held Thursday, May 1, from 4 to 8 p.m. at Sullivan Funeral Home, 60 S. Grant St., Hinsdale, IL 60521. A funeral mass will be held on Friday, May 2, at St. Isaac Jogues Church, Fourth and Clay St., Hinsdale at 10 a.m., with Interment to follow at Queen of Heaven Cemetery in Hillside.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are appreciated to the Doyle Family Endowed Research Fund at the Stritch School of Medicine of Loyola University Chicago or the Patricia K. Doyle Hesburgh Women of Impact Scholarship at the University of Notre Dame.
