Betty L. Carr, age 84, passed away peacefully, surrounded by the love of her family. She was the devoted wife of the late Richard A. Carr ("Bucky") for 59 years.
Together, Betty and Bucky shared a deep devotion to their family, especially as grandparents. They were ever-present supporters on the sidelines of sports fields, in school auditoriums, and during holidays spent together at their home.
Loving mother of Bradley (Kathy) Carr, Kimberly (Jim) Carmignani, and Jeff Carr. Cherished grandmother of Elizabeth (Dustin) Fell, Katie (Dan) Webster, Jason (Alex) Carr, Allie (Aaron) Biskie, Ryan (Shannon) Carr, Brittany Carr, Jack Carr, and Elena Carr. Proud great-grandmother of seven, who brought her immense joy in her final years.
A devoted daughter, Betty and Bucky cared for her mother Eleanor with love and grace until her passing. A cancer survivor, Betty faced challenges with quiet strength and dignity. Her life was one of love, resilience, and dedication to her family. One of Betty's favorite things to do in her later years was to lunch with her former co-workers whose friendships she cherished.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 13th at 2:30 PM at Sullivan Funeral Home, 60 South Grant Street, Hinsdale, IL. Interment private.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Betty's honor may be made to the The Parkinson's Foundation or the American Cancer Society. For more information, please contact 630-323-0275 or visit www.sullivanfuneralhomehinsdale.com
