Thomas Warren "Tom" Durant, 83, of Zanesville, passed away peacefully at 6:15 AM, Thursday, June 26, 2025, at his home. Tom was born October 6, 1941, in Zanesville, the son of Raymond and Emma (Schwallie) Durant. Tom is survived by his wife of over 55 years, Dottie (Schultheis) Durant; two beloved daughters, Heidi (Rich) McCoy of Westerville and Abby (Chris) Zimmerman of Worthington; four wonderful grandchildren, Madeline and Mia McCoy and Zachary and Zade Zimmerman; one brother, Bill Durant; one sister-in-law, Polly Russo; a brother-in-law, Stan Schultheis and numerous nieces, nephews and a host of friends.
Tom was a graduate of Bishop Rosecrans High School and served his country as a member of the Army National Guard. He was employed with Young GMC for 30 years and retired from Park National Bank following over 25 years of service.
Tom had a love for basketball, playing himself into his mid-50's, and watching his daughters play at Bishop Rosecrans. He never missed a sporting or school event for his girls, and up until recently for his grandchildren. He was an avid golfer, from the courses of the Zanesville Country Club and Vanderbilt Country Club in Naples, FL, to the many courses he and his friends played during family vacations.
