Thomas Elston Obituary

Published by Legacy on Jul. 8, 2025.
Thomas James Elston, 53, of Ocala, Florida, formerly of Allamuchy, New Jersey, passed away on July 7, 2025. Born on January 5, 1972, in New Jersey, Tom grew up in Allamuchy and graduated from Hackettstown High School in 1990.
He was welcomed home by his father, Stanley Leo Elston Sr.; his mother, Geraldine Lyons; and his sister, Cindy Ann Elston.
Tom was known for his strong work ethic and spent much of his life working on building sites. He took great pride in fixing and building things, especially around his home, where his creativity and craftsmanship were always on display. Whether it was a new project or a simple repair, Tom's hands were always busy - often building something with love for his wife, Erin.
He had a remarkable sense of humor and made everyone around him laugh. His wit, kindness, and generous spirit left a lasting impression on those fortunate enough to know him. Tom was a devoted Christian and a proud Republican - and he wanted everyone to know it.
Tom is survived by his loving wife, Erin Fisher-Elston; his beloved son, Will Elston; his stepchildren, Alexandria Fisher and Evan Fisher; his stepmother, Gloria Elston; his sister, Janet Quinteros, his brother Stanley Elston Jr. ; and his cherished nieces, Jessica Blanchard, Morgan Schneider, and Karina Quinteros.
A private memorial will be held by the family at a later date to celebrate Tom's life and the joy he brought to others.
Tom will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered for his laughter, his craftsmanship, and the heart he shared so freely.
"I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith." - 2 Timothy 4:7
