Thomas Evans Obituary
He was born on August 11, 1942 in Ashtabula, the son of Versal and Georgia (Powers) Evans.
Thomas was a lifelong resident of Ashtabula County and a graduate of Ashtabula High School, Class of 1960. On March 8, 1961, he married the love of his life, Carol (Chandler). Together they shared 61 beautiful years of marriage until her passing in 2022. Throughout their life together, Thomas and Carol were devoted Cleveland Guardians fans. They also shared a love for bowling and camping, creating countless cherished memories along the way.
Aside from his family, Thomas dedicated many years of hard work to Reliance Electric, retiring in the 1990s.
Thomas is survived by his daughters, Cindi (Malcolm) Quay of Merritt, NC, Joanna Minnick of Conneaut Lake, PA, and Diana Evans of Tallmadge, OH; grandchildren, Phylicia (Matthew) Dunaway, Jeremy (Sara) Carter, Kayla (Spencer) Ransom, and Michelle Carter; and great-grandchildren, Lily, Meadow, Jared, James, Jayden, Khloe, Liam, Dellah, and River.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Carol Evans; brothers, Bob and Ted Evans; his sisters, Janice Headley and Carolee Morris; and his parents.
A gathering for friends and family will be held on Thursday, Feburary 19, 2026 from 12PM-2PM at Ducro Funeral Home, 4524 Elm Ave, Ashtabula, OH.
