In Loving Memory of Thomas H. Ewers
We bid a heartfelt farewell to Thomas H. Ewers, who passed away at the age of 78 on May 5, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. A pillar of strength and a beacon of love, Tom's presence filled every room, and his absence leaves an immeasurable void in our hearts.
He is survived by his devoted wife of 54 years, Lynn (née Woebkenberg), and was a cherished father to Melissa (Jordy) Nichols, Christina, Cynthia (Jamie) Burke, and Andrew (Elizabeth). Known lovingly as "Papa," he found immense joy in his three grandsons: Nathan and Michael Burke, and Jeffrey Ewers. He is also survived by his siblings Jim Ewers and Karen Hill and was preceded in death by his brother Walt.
Tom was a good and honest man in both his professional and personal life who treasured every moment spent with family. Fondly remembered by Lynn as "Mr. Fix It," he was always ready with a helping hand-whether to tackle a to-do list or offer advice/services to others. He was a loyal supporter of his children's and grandsons' endeavors and took great pleasure in coaching his kids' sports teams, card games, cheering on local sports teams (especially-Go Bearcats!), and enjoying the occasional good beer with family and friends.
A proud U.S. Navy veteran, Tom remained actively involved in his local VFW chapter. One of the highlights of his later years was participating in an Honor Flight in September 2024, a deeply meaningful experience he shared with his son.
Tom's family will receive friends on Saturday, May 10th from 9-10AM at Thomas-Justin Memorial, 7500 Montgomery Rd. (452136) Kenwood.
Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10:30AM at All Saints Catholic Church, 8939 Montgomery Rd. (45236).
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Tom's memory to either:
Hospice of Cincinnati, PO Box 633579, Cincinnati, OH (45236-6579)
or
