OXFORD - Thomas Anthony Federowicz, 65 years young, passed away peacefully on August 1, 2024. He was born on August 27, 1958 in Derby, CT. He was raised in Shelton, CT where he later served the City of Shelton as a Police Officer for 32 years. He then went on to serve the Towns of Woodbury and Bethlehem as a School Resource Officer for the Region 14 School District for 10 years. Tom was an assistant boy's basketball coach for Seymour High School for 13 years, while also assisting the girl's volleyball team, whenever needed for the past 25 years. Tom was involved with Oxford youth sports while his sons were young and served on Oxford Park and Rec. for many years. He remained active in athletic officiating basketball, softball, and football at the high school and recreational level. Tom was a hard worker and always offered to lend a hand to anyone in need. He only requested that he was allowed private time to watch his favorite football team, the Green Bay Packers. Tom leaves behind his beloved wife, Cathy Federowicz (Dempsey). Loving father to his three sons, Timothy Federowicz and his wife Megan, Brian Federowicz, and Michael Federowicz. Tom was the beloved grandfather to Jacob, Noah, Ellie, and Luca Federowicz, brother to William Federowicz and his wife Diane, and his sister Judy Wood and her husband Kevin. He was a son in-law to Loretta Dempsey and brother in-law to Karen Petruney (George) and Joseph Dempsey (Cheryl) and many more loving family and friends. Tom is predeceased by his parents Joseph and Violet Federowicz and his father in-law Joseph Dempsey. Tom enjoyed working outside on his lawn, playing golf with his son's, and spending as much time possible with his grandchildren. He also spent countless hours at his home away from home in Cape Cod with his wife and family. Family and friends are invited to gather on Sunday, August 4, 2024 from 2pm to 6pm in the Ralph E Hull Funeral Home located at 161 W Church St., Seymour, CT 06483. We certainly cherish all the laughs and good times we spent with you playing volleyball and watching the beloved Packers (IN SILENCE!! No talking allowed). You were an amazing husband, father, and grandfather; you could tell how proud you were of them when telling stories. We will miss you and are blessed to have you as our friend. May God Bless...
