Thomas Fuoco, 88, of Saugerties, NY, formerly of Hurley, NY, passed away on Sunday, October 5, 2025, at his home in Saugerties, NY. He was born on April 23, 1937, in East Kingston, NY and was the son of the late Saverio Fuoco and Theresa Morello.
Thomas attended school at Immaculate Conception, Kingston, NY and Kingston High School. He worked for NYS Department of Transportation for 32 years before his retirement. He was a previous member of Drum and Bugel Core, Kingston, where he played the trumpet. Thomas was also a previous member and volunteer for Hurley Fire Department.
Thomas took pride in his homes where he loved to tend to many flowers, fruit and vegetable gardens. He also enjoyed tinkering in his workshops and keeping his vehicles looking immaculate. In addition to his full-time job, he worked painting and wallpapering residential homes for his many clients. Later in life he enjoyed hunting and fishing with friends and family. He had a love of motorcycles. Over the years he owned everything from Harley’s to Honda’s and enjoyed riding with his daughter. He loved dancing, tasty food, entertaining and traveling. He was proud of his dogs throughout the years, especially his Labrador Retrievers.
He is survived by his daughter, Deborah L. Fuoco, sister-in-law, Linda Terpening Dotson and husband, David W. Dotson, brother-in-law, William McGann and wife Donna, along with many nieces and nephews.
Thomas is preceded in death by his first wife, Judith Terpening Fuoco who passed away in 1986, and his second wife, MaryEllen McGann Fuoco who passed in 2024, his parents, Saverio and Theresa Morello Fuoco, and siblings: Jeanette (infant), Sam, Jeanette, Michael, Anthony, Louis, Richard, Lorraine and Ralph.
Arrangements entrusted to Keyser Funeral & Cremation Service, Inc., 326 Albany Avenue, Kingston, NY 12401, where family and friends may visit on Thursday, October 9, 2025, from 4pm to 7pm. There will be a funeral service on Friday, October 10, 2025, at 9am at the funeral home. Burial at St. Mary’s Cemetery to follow.
