Thomas G. Gulliford
Bay City, Michigan
Thomas Gregory Gulliford, known affectionately as Goof or Greg to his friends and family, passed away on November 12, 2025, at the age of 56, in Bay City, Michigan. Born on December 1, 1968, in Saginaw, Michigan, Greg's early years were filled with the love and support that would shape his generous spirit.
Greg was a proud graduate of TL Handy High School in Bay City, where he excelled both academically and athletically. His prowess on the basketball court earned him a scholarship to Olivet College, where he continued to demonstrate his skill and sportsmanship. Greg's passion for sports was matched only by his love for the great outdoors, a trait he inherited from his father and grandfathers. Following in their footsteps, he became a well-respected salesman at Great Outdoor Adventures, where he shared his enthusiasm for nature with others.
Greg's life was often the center of a circle of friends, from shooting hoops in the driveway to competing in video games. Greg's love of fishing, hunting, and sports was only second to his love for animals and children. His quick wit and easy smile were infectious, making every moment spent with him a cherished memory.
Family was the cornerstone of Greg's life. He is survived by his beloved mother, Suzanne (Archey) & Robert Steimel; his sisters, Charlene Frances Gulliford and Lisa Ann Neering; his brothers, Steven & Michael Gulliford; his aunts and uncles, Frank Gulliford, Mark & Mary Sregreen, Robert & Karen Gulliford, Dan & Shelia Archey, Yvonne Smith, and Michael Archery; his niece, Samantha Gulliford; and many very close cousins who will cherish his memory. Greg was preceded in death by his son, Geoffrey Charles Gulliford, his father, Thomas Harvey Gulliford, and his grandparents, Charles & Frances Archey and Thomas & Peggy Gulliford.
A Funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm on Thursday, November 20, 2025, at Rivertown Funeral Home, Kawkawlin, MI, presided by Pastor Charles Campbell. The family will greet family and friends on Thursday, November 20, 2025, from 11:00 am until the time of Service. In lieu of flowers the family has asked for memorials to be for Bay County Humane Society.
