Frankfort – Dr. Thomas Evener Hamilton, age 47, passed away on Friday, July 4, 2025.
Services will be held at Capital City Christian Church on Wednesday, July 9, 2025, at 2:00 p.m., with Dr. Stephen Pattison and Ben Webb officiating. Visitation will also take place at the church from 11:00 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
Dr. Hamilton was born in Portsmouth, Ohio, on September 17, 1977. He graduated from Alice Lloyd College and the University of Louisville School of Medicine, then completed his residency at McLeod Regional Hospital in Florence, South Carolina. He served the Lawrenceburg community for 20 years as a Family Practice Physician-first at Capital Family Physicians and later with Baptist Health-where he was known not only for his medical expertise, but also for his kind, compassionate, and personable nature.
Thomas had many varied interests. He was an avid hunter and fisherman, loved woodworking, and was an aspiring pilot. A man of many skills and an even bigger heart, he was a faithful member of Capital City Christian Church, where he served on the medical team. With warmth, integrity, and genuine love, he lived out his faith daily in the way he treated others.
He was the rock of his family-a deeply devoted husband, an encouraging and proud father, and, as his children would say, "a pretty rad dad." He cheered the loudest at their games, celebrated their wins, and supported their dreams with unwavering love.
Dr. Hamilton will be remembered not only for his accomplishments, but for how he made people feel-seen, cared for, and respected. His legacy lives on in the countless lives he touched through his family, his practice, his friendships, and far beyond.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Alathea Lee Pattison Hamilton; his son, Steven Thomas Hamilton; his daughter, Morgan Elizabeth Hamilton Hulette (Sawyer); his mother, Linda Sutton Hamilton; and his sisters, Amy Elizabeth Ratcliff (Hager) and Carrie Ann Barhorst (Brian), along with a niece and several nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Evener Hamilton.
Serving as pallbearers will be family and friends.
Arrangements are under the direction of Harrod Brothers Funeral Home & Crematory. Condolences may be shared via the online guestbook at www.harrodbrothers.com.

Was heartbroken to have just heard of his passing. He is one Doctor that will never be forgotten for kindness, compassion, expertise in medical practice. He truly showed a Christian spirit with every visit I had. I moved a distance from Lawrenceburg, but I was willing to go a distance to continue with his medical practice that was so amazing. As many patients, I too will miss him. I´m praying for comfort for his family and loved ones.
