Thomas E. Hartzke

Thomas E. Hartzke, age 73, of West Bloomfield, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, July 2, 2023, at ThedaCare Regional Medical Center in Neenah. He was born on September 1, 1949 in New London, WI, the son of the late Louis and Eris (Behm) Hartzke.
On Sunday, June 20, 1971, Thomas married Diane (Koepp) Hartzke at St. John Lutheran Church, East Bloomfield. He farmed his entire life on the family farm in Bloomfield. Tom loved many different types of music and he was a very talented trumpet player using his talent for many events and also enjoyed playing in the Bloomfield Band from childhood on. He also enjoyed hunting and trap shooting and spending time on the farm. Tom was a member of Christ Lutheran Church in West Bloomfield.
Tom is survived by his wife of 52 years, Diane; his son, Tim Hartzke; two daughters, Emily (Mike) Nikolai and Liz (Matt) Hysen; his granddaughter, Katherine (Brian) Moericke; three grandsons, Sam, Vin and Jay Nikolai; two great-grandchildren, Dixie and Carter Moericke; his brother, Stan (Josie) Hartzke; and their children, Jennifer (Thomas) Keller; Brian (Cindi) Hartzke, Luke Hartzke, and Clint (Brenda) Hartzke; his beloved sidekick, Scout; other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Robert Hartzke, and his in-laws, Ray and Marjorie Koepp.
Memorial Services will be held on Tuesday, July 11, 2023 at 11:00 am at Christ Lutheran Church, N6404 State Rd. 49 Weyauwega (West Bloomfield), Pastor Brian Weber will officiate. Burial will be in Concordia Cemetery. Visitation will be held at Christ Lutheran Church on Tuesday, from 9:00 am until the time of service. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established for Christ Lutheran Church and School.
