Thomas E. "Tom" Havlicek

Thomas E. "Tom" Havlicek passed away peacefully with his loving family at his side. He was the loving husband of Virginia, nee Alvarez. Dear father of Andrew (Kaytee) Havlicek. Fond brother of Kenneth (Laura) Havlicek and Karen (Troy) Guthrie. Uncle to Carl, Mark and Kelly. Cherished son of Marjorie and the late Richard C. Havlicek. Much loved brother-in-law and uncle to many. Tom was a longtime resident of Chicago's Clearing community. He worked for the City of Chicago for many years and his current position was at Midway Airport. Tom was a hardworking, compassionate, friendly person, who had the greatest smile. He was always willing to help anyone in need. Friends and family will hold him in their hearts forever. Visitation is Tuesday from 4PM to 8 PM at Foran Funeral Home, 7300 W. Archer Ave.(55th street just west of Harlem). Visitation at the funeral home on Wednesday from 8:30 AM until time of Prayers at 9:30 AM. We will go in procession from the funeral home to St. Mary Star of the Sea Church for a 10 AM mass. Tom will be laid to rest at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
