Tom was proceeded in death by his parents Bill and Bernice Hiscocks.
Tom graduated from North High School in Des Moines class of 1964. He attended Simpson College for one year before enlisting in the Marine Corps during the Vietnam War. After serving four years in the Marines he went back to college, graduating from Drake University with a degree in accounting. This degree helped him get his job at the Iowa Department of Revenue, from which he retired.
The family wants to thank Sun Crest Hospice and Infinity Home Care for the loving care he received.
Per Tom's wishes no funeral service is planned. Private burial of his cremains will take place at Highland Memory Gardens at a later date.
The family asks that any Memorial Contributions be made to Sun Crest Hospice 5959 Village View Drive Suite 100, West Des Moines, IA 50266
