Thomas Edward James, Sr., 80, Fishers, went home to be with his Lord October 20, 2024. He was born in Indianapolis, IN to George Edward James and Erma Irene (Lindley) James. Tom graduated from Scecina High School in 1962 and in 1966 he married Helena Prikaszczikow. Tom and Helena had 2 sons. Tom worked as a machinist, a foreman, a plant manager and in sales before retiring in 2015 from Tube Processing. Tom pursued a secondary education, while working full time, at Wesleyan University where he graduated with a business management degree. Tom loved sports of all kinds, walks in the outdoors, hunting, and recreational shooting. Tom was also an active long-time member of the NRA. Being very fond of a wide array of music and stereo systems, Tom was also known for his impressive state-of-the-art audio equipment.
Thomas was preceded in death by his parents George and Erma James, younger brother William (Billy) James and brother-in-law Minor Best.
Survivors include his sons Thomas Jr. (Lora) James of McCordsville, Michael (Crystal) James of Shelbyville, brothers and sisters Linda Best of Noblesville, Mark James of San Diego California, Stephen (Karen Loser) James of Colfax, Patty (Tom) Ollier of Clayton, Lisa (Mike) Storms of Noblesville and grandchildren Daniel (Lauren) James of Nineveh, Morgan (Zack) York of Greenfield, Emily (Cole) Padgett of Greenfield, Lauren (Zach) Vetor of Middletown, Austin Kredit of Indianapolis, Ethan (Kristen) Kredit of Rushville, Cameron Kredit of Shelbyville, and great-grandchildren Killian James Padgett, Bo James York, Jameson Michael Kredit, and Anna Rose James.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 12:00pm Saturday October 26th at Our Lady of Peace Catholic Cemetery, 9001 Haverstick Rd. Indianapolis. Visitation will begin there at 10:00 until the time of the service.
