Thomas Jettner

Thomas Jettner, age 69, of Fort Walton Beach, FL passed away peacefully in his sleep on October 24, 2024. He was born on November 15, 1954, to Charles Jettner and Marion Swasey.
Tom proudly served in the United States Air Force as a jet engine mechanic for 20 years. He will be remembered as "Jumbo Jet" – a big man who had a big laugh, a big appetite, and a big appetite for life. He loved to play, create, and explore. He traveled the world, fished whenever he could, fancied himself a master carpenter, and was a fantastic baker. Tom also had a big heart. Indeed – his kindness was the only thing bigger than his size. He would go out of his way to help anyone. To know him was to love him.
While Tom has had many accomplishments, he would consider his greatest achievements to be his family and faith. He was a wonderful husband, truly enamored and entranced by his wife till the end. He was a loving father, always available to listen, counsel, and, of course, play. And last, he was a devoted Christian who walked and talked, sometimes very loudly, with God daily. Tom will be sorely missed. Our loss is Heaven's gain.
He is survived by his wife, Flora, his children, Jennifer and Michelle, his six grandchildren: Hero, Alley, Tray, King, Chance, and Supreme, as well as his four older siblings: Pat, Judy, Ronnie, and Barbara, and too many nieces and nephews to count.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 30th at 3:00 PM at Emerald Coast Funeral Home. The family will receive visitors one hour before the service. Interment will take place at Barrancas National Cemetery the following morning at 11:00 AM.
