Thomas M. Kalkman, age 59 of Clinton Township, Michigan passed away Tuesday, August 5, 2025 in Detroit, Michigan. He was born August 27, 1965 to Gerald Michael Kalkman and Carol Ann Kalkman (nee; Budnick) in Saginaw, Michigan. Tom graduated college with a Bachelor's Degree in Aeronautical Engineering and most recently was working as a Principal Software Manager. He met his love on Holy Saturday in England in 1995 and in 1997 Geraldine and Thomas were wed. He loved to travel with vacations in Ireland and Hawaii being his two favorites, but he also loved a nice simple camping trip and times spent around the fire where his hearty laugh, recognized by all, would often ring out. Tom was also a member of St. Paul of Tarsus Knights of Columbus Council #11689, a past B.S.A. Troop Leader and a life long dog lover.
Tom is survived by his beloved wife Geraldine, his loving parents Gerald and Carol Kalkman, his dear sons; Joshua Michael Kalkman, Ethan Lawrence Kalkman and Zachary Gerald Kalkman and his dear brothers; Richard Allen (Jamie) Kalkman, Joseph Karl (Jeanne) Kalkman and John Keith (Johanna) Kalkman. From the annual "Bro-cations" he enjoyed with his brothers and the pride he felt in his sons to the deep love and devotion he felt for both his wife and his parents anyone who knew him knew his family was his world and he, in turn theirs and how deeply he will be missed.
Visitation Sunday, August 10, 2025 3:00pm - 8:00pm with 7:00 Rosary at Chas. Verheyden, Inc., 43300 Garfield Rd., Clinton Township, Michigan 48038. Instate 9:30am Monday, August 11, 2025 at St. Paul of Tarsus Catholic Church, 41300 Romeo Plank Rd., Clinton Township, Michigan 48038.
