Tom graduated college with a Bachelor's Degree in Aeronautical Engineering and most recently was working as a Principal Software Manager. He met his love on Holy Saturday in England in 1995 and in 1997 Geraldine and Thomas were wed. He loved to travel with vacations in Ireland and Hawaii being his two favorites, but he also loved a nice simple camping trip and times spent around the fire where his hearty laugh, recognized by all, would often ring out. I am retired from Boeing and Siemens supplies software we used that Tom managed. Tom was always the profession and a genuinely warm person, great to work with. My condolences to family and friends.

I had the privilege of knowing Tom as a leader, colleague, and friend. For 28 years, we worked side by side at Siemens, building the Dimensional Management product suite - including Vis VSA and more - and sharing both triumphs and challenges along the way. Through it all, Tom was the steady, stabilizing force, always bringing optimism and care for everyone around him. Beyond work, we spoke often about our families and celebrated life´s joyful moments together. Tom was, quite simply, a truly good human being. My heartfelt condolences go to his wife, children, and family.

Most sincere condolences to the Kalkman family. I had the privilege of working with Tom for several years upon beginning my career at EAI, and then again periodically throughout the past 25 years when involved with projects requiring variation analysis and the VisVSA product.
Over the years, Tom has championed several of my customers´ efforts towards continuous improvement of the software, during which times we would have regularly scheduled meetings. His friendly and sometimes humorous demeanor always helped to make these meetings more enjoyable. Tom has been a friend, an esteemed colleague, a respected leader and a staple within the Dimensional Management community serving the automotive industry and beyond.
Tom was always willing to make some time to field a question or to discuss an issue. His sustained work ethic and diligence in providing us with a quality product has been appreciated by those that knew him.
