Thomas Keil

Thomas W. Keil was born on August 22, 1941, in Newark NJ and resided in Irvington, Maplewood and South Orange prior to moving to the Jersey Shore permanently. He was known by friends and family as Tom. He graduated from Columbia High School and continued his education at the University of Virginia and LaSalle Extension University Law School. His business career followed, including 20 years in the Savings and Loan business retiring as Vice President of Keyston Savings located in Monmouth County. He began a successful 40 year career as a real estate broker with Riveredge Realty Inc. in Point Peasant, NJ. Tom enjoyed all things related to Jersey Shore Living, including 43 years in Point Pleasant Boro, NJ. Tom and his wife Mariann found great pleasure cruising to Bermuda and the eastern Caribbean especially the islands of St. Thomas, St. Martin and Barbados. He was a generous person with both family and friends.
Tom was predeceased by his parents Dr. Harry R. Keil, Ethel J. Keil and sister-in-law Glenda Keil. Surviving are his loving wife Mariann, son Thomas R., brother Donald, brother and sister-in-law Thomas P. and Carolann Gerbehy. He also had a special relationship with with his niece Christine and her sons Anthony, John Michael, Christopher, Thomas and Nicholas, and many nieces, nephews and many close friends.
Arrangements are under the care of Orender Family Home for Funerals, Manasquan, NJ. Interment will be at Greenwood Cemetery, Brielle, NJ. If desired, contributions can be made in Tom's name to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital at 501 St. Jude’s Place, Memphis, TN 38105-9959
