Thomas J. Kendall, 65, passed away on Wednesday, December 6, 2023, in his Sinking Spring residence, with his loving family by his side. Born November 25, 1958, in Reading, Tom was a son of the late Elton and Betty (O'Boyle) Kendall. He was married earlier this year to his longtime companion Louise R. (Cavalieri) Kendall.
In addition to his wife, Tom is survived by his daughters, Stephanie Kendall, Fleetwood, Taylor Giorgio, wife of Michael, Kutztown, and Teresa Shoudt, Vermont, and son Jonathan Spang, Sinking Spring, as well as grandsons Mikey, Rhett Thomas, Waylon and Jasper, and granddaughter Violet. Also surviving are his brothers David Kendall and Brian Kendall.
Tom was a 1976 graduate of Exeter High School, and went on to be certified as a Master Plumber, working for over 20 years for the City of Reading's Public Works Department, retiring in 2021. Prior to that, Tom worked at Dana Corporation, Reading.
Tom loved the simple things in life, like long car rides with Lou through the countryside, or to look at Christmas lights this time of year. He also enjoyed trips to Knoebels, the beach, hunting, fishing, and model railroading. Always the avid sports fan, Tom enjoyed rooting for his beloved Eagles, Phillies and Flyers.
Tom was also infamous for being able to fix anything and everything around the house, from plumbing and electrical projects to small appliances.
A Celebration of Tom's life will be held at 12noon Friday, December 8, 2023, at the Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc., 739 Penn Avenue, West Reading. A public viewing will take place from 10:30-12noon in the Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, donations in Tom's name can be made to PanCan Purple Stride in support of pancreatic cancer research at pancan.org. Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc., 739 Penn Avenue, West Reading, PA, is in charge of arrangements. Online condolences may be recorded at www.kuhnfuneralhomes.com.

Please accept our condolences for Tom´s loss. We didn´t know until just now that he passed on Wednesday and are sorry we missed his services today. We´ll never forget our train buddy, and all the good times we had sharing our favorite hobby. Train shows will never be the same without him. Tom and the laughs and good times we shared will remain with us always. He will be greatly missed. Rob, Al and Wayne Young
