Thomas M. Kennedy II
Thomas Michael Kennedy II, 52, of South Berwick Maine, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, November 24, 2024, in Old Orchard Beach.
He was born in Malden, Massachusetts on January 9, 1972, a son of Thomas M. Kennedy I and Linda (Maliawco) Kennedy. He grew up in Everett, Massachusetts and graduated from Everett High School, class of 1990.
In 1991 Thomas enlisted with the United States Marines, and faithfully served our country during the battle of Mogadishu in the 1993 Somalia War (also known as Blackhawk Down), as well as during Operation Uphold Democracy in Haiti in 1994. After completing his service he returned to Everett where he started his family, and began his lifelong career as a mechanic. Years later Thomas and his children relocated to South Berwick, Maine.
Thomas had many interesting hobbies, but none compared to his passion for being outdoors. He loved spending time at the family camp in Sandisfield, Massachusetts, where many great memories where made while hunting, fishing and riding ATV's. These special memories meant so much to his family, and will be cherished forever. He was a huge fan of Boston Bruins Hockey, and enjoyed watching games with family and friends. He had a love for dogs, especially German Shepherds, and raised many over the years.
Thomas had a huge heart and loved his family and friends with every inch of it. He was kind and funny, loyal and honorable. This past summer he moved to Old Orchard Beach, and had begun making new friends in this community. He will be sadly missed by many.
Due to the warfare he experienced during his time in the military, Thomas suffered from PTSD. This painful illness was a result of the traumatic events he lived through while fighting for our country. Despite all this, he always remained extremely proud of being a United States Marine.
Thomas is predeceased by his father, Thomas M. Kennedy I, and by his brother Adam Kennedy.
He is survived by his mother Linda Kennedy-Foley and his step-father Daniel Foley; by four children: Samantha Kennedy, Keifer Kennedy, Thomas Kennedy, and Kyle Kennedy; by his three sisters: Jennifer Kennedy and partner Doug Lipert, Linda Quiles and husband Ramon, and Angela Siciliano and husband Mark; as well as by several cousins, nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will take place in the spring of 2025.

to the Kennedy family I am sadden to hear of the loss of my friend Tommy. He was a warm hearted individual who would give you the shirt off of his back. Tommy loved his family and I had the honor of meeting his sons Kyle and Tommy a while back. Tommy gleamed with pride as his boys and his daughter in law were visiting him. Tommy god bless you and I pray you are at peace my friend. To the Kennedy family , My sincerest and heart felt condolences at this difficult time .... MAY God bless.

A favorite memory- Eating yucky sushi at the Kowloon in Saugus, MA- but the MaiTais were good. Tom & I would recommend sticking with the Chinese food.
