Tom was so full of life. His passing leaves a space in our family that can never be filled. I ll remember his love for Marcia and his daughters, and his courage and decency.

Marcia and family, I am so sorry to hear of Tommy's passing. I can remember my brother Francis looking forward to a visit from him when he was sick. He was so kind to make the trip for him. May God bless you and your family in this time of sorrow. Sheila Crowley Ellis

Please accept condolences from the family of the late Bill Finnie. Bill always talked fondly of his friend Tommy Kent, and it meant a lot to Bill when Tommy visited him when he was ill in 2002, after Bill moved (again) to Florida. Thanks for the lifelong friendship of two SHS pals.

My daughter was one of his students and FFA members so I was present at many functions and a chaperone on many activities, and to say Mr. Kent was a wonderful teacher, leader, mentor, and friend is such an understatement. To anyone around him, it was utterly apparent as to how much he was liked by students & fellow teachers alike. This world, the Belleview Ag & FFA programs, and the SEYF are all better off because of his involvement. Our condolences to his family as we mourn his loss with you.
Sincerely, Darren, Teresa & Bailie Jurgens

Mr Kent was alway there no matter what for anyone. He was such an encouraging teacher. If I was having a rough day I knew that as soon as I would walk in his class he would be able to make any bad day go great. He pushed his students to succeed. I have many great memories and alot of laughs. He was not only one of the greatest teachers but an awesome ffa leader. Im so sorry

For those who didn't have the pleasure of knowing him, he was the most wonderful and kind man. He loved all living creatures unconditionally and would never hesitate to help anyone or anything. He is so loved still and will be for many many years to come. I love you and I miss you more than words. You'll always be my hero.

To one of the best men I knew . We had a lot of good times at North Marion in the ag program and some not so good times. As a parent to Lynnanne I know you had your hands full. We will never forget all you did for our animals. You will be missed. RIP good man. Lynn

He was a champion for my two children in FFA. That didn't change after they graduated. When my son, Jordan Hensley, was undergoing chemo/radiation at Shands, he would meet him there to keep him company and give encouragement. Some days he didn't even feel well himself. That was just how Mr Kent was. He loved his kids. I wish his family much comfort and peace. Thank you for sharing such a wonderful person with us and our children. He has had a lifelong impact on more than you can imagine.
