Thomas Wayne “TK” Kerstine, 70, of Edmond, Oklahoma, passed away unexpectedly on November 5, 2025. Tom was born on February 27, 1955, in Wayne, Nebraska, to Wayne and Ruth Kerstine of Carroll, Nebraska. He was raised on the family farm in Carroll, graduated from Wayne High School in 1973, attended the University of Nebraska–Lincoln for one year, and later earned his private pilot’s license while working for Duncan Aviation in Lincoln. In 1992, Tom and his family moved to Oklahoma City, where he founded TK Aero Inc., a business specializing in buying and selling private aircraft. Known to most as TK, he lived life to the fullest—a larger-than-life presence who filled every room with light, laughter, and optimism. He was a devoted and loving father, a proud grandfather, a respected businessman, and a loyal friend to so many. TK had a rare gift for bringing out the best in everyone he met. His boundless joy, generosity, and unconditional love left a lasting mark on all who knew him. A lover of good food and drink, TK was an accomplished cook and an expert behind the bar. He was a talented writer and storyteller, always ready with a quick wit, a kind heart, and a grounded perspective on life. A passionate aviator, TK loved everything related to flying and space, finding peace and purpose in the skies. Tom is survived by his former wife, Denise Kerstine; their daughter, Jessica (Brandon) Warriax; grandchildren, Finley and Olivia; sister, Cyndee (Mike) Olauson; uncle, Bob Monson; nieces, Ashley Olauson and Annika (Tim) Moore; great-niece, Astrid; great-nephew, Wyatt; and many cousins and countless friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Wayne and Ruth Kerstine, and his grandparents. His ashes will be scattered over the Nebraska family farm he so dearly loved.
