THOMAS BARRETT KNAPP, passed away unexpectedly on January 19, 2025. Following a brief illness with 1 of his boys by his side.
Thomas was born at Ball Memorial Hospital on September 28,1952 to the late Gene and Helen Knapp, which was his sister's 5th birthday. So, they shared 72 birthdays together giving them a special bond.
Thomas was an Army Ranger Veteran, where he also became a master carpenter. After returning from Germany, he became a semi driver for R&L Carriers. He worked there for 16 years until his retirement.
He became the best stepped-up dad to 3 boys: Jeffery (Megan) Frenzel, Ronald Frenzel (Kristy), and his best friend/son Darrel Frenzel (Misty). He was very proud of his boys and he loved them greatly.
Surviving are his 3 boys, his sister Cheryl Brayton, a brother David Knapp. Several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. His grand-pups Gibbs and Luna who already miss him like crazy.
He was proceeded in death by his parents, grandparents, a brother-in-law James Brayton, his grandson Thomas Edward Frenzel. And his furry "kids", Abigail, Keelo, Shiloh, and Lokee.
He was an avid coin collector, he loved camp fires and eating smores, drinking beer & playing pool, spending time with his kids (actual and/or furry ones), he enjoyed giving people a hard time, and loved shocking them. But also, would help anyone he could if asked.
He is very missed as we all feel the void his leaving us has made. We will be having a celebration of life in the summer. Meeks Mortuary is conducting his cremation and services.
