Thomas Kueber Obituary

Thomas Joseph Kueber, 66, of Borden, Indiana, passed away on Thursday, January 1, 2026. A man of remarkable talents, Tom possessed a mechanical mind and had an unparalleled capability for working on anything with a motor. His skills were matched only by his commitment to serving his community, reflected in his long tenure as a dedicated volunteer groundskeeper at the Community Montessori School in New Albany. Tom's passions extended beyond mechanics; he enjoyed traveling, with a particular fondness for the scenic beauty of the United States Southwest. His love for gardening, cooking and grilling out provided joy not only to himself but also to his family.

Born on May 17, 1959, in Evansville, Indiana, he was the son of the late Paul and Ruth (Krack) Kueber. In addition to his parents, Tom is preceded in death by his son, Charles "Danny" Payne.

He is survived by his loving wife of 35 years, Linda (Ridenour) Kueber. Their family continues with their children: Shawn Kueber, Andrew Kueber (fiancée, Amy), Reed Payne (Shane), and Noel Payne (Lisa). Tom was a proud grandfather to Cory Payne, Brandon Payne, Hunter Byrnes, Ty Payne, Liz Payne, and Hunter Kueber, and great-grandfather to Maci, Mia, Carter, Ava, and Hunter Jr. His bonds with his siblings—Charles Kueber (Sherri), Mary Key, and Billy Kueber (Karla)—along with his nephews, Brandon Key and Craig Kueber, and niece, Hayley Kueber, reflect the depth of his love for his family.

A gathering of family and friends will be held from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 10, 2026, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions located at 3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany, with a celebration of Tom's life beginning at 4:00 p.m.

Tom Kueber's life was characterized by positivity and resilience in the face of adversity. His spirit will be fondly remembered and deeply missed by all who had the privilege to know him.
