Thomas Anthony "Tony" Kulenek

Thomas Anthony "Tony" Kulenek, 79, of Cantonment passed away on November 18 at 9:25 AM. Mr. Kulenek was born in Baltimore, Maryland to Isabelle Mariany Kulenek and Charles Rudolph Kulenek on April 3, 1943.
He grew up with fraternal twin brother Richard and were joined 10 years later with sisters; Christine and Susan. Both Tony and Richard enlisted together in the United States Marine Corps in 1962.
Tony married Barbara in 1974, shortly thereafter adopting her son, Jim
"Pete". He began work in the defense industry with Fairchild in Hagerstown, MD. He then took a job with Martin Marietta in Denver, CO before moving back to Maryland, serving his country working for the Federal Aviation Administration.
Tony also continued to serve by joining the 167th Airlift Wing of the West Virginia Air National Guard where he was a flight nurse on the C-130 Hercules before being commissioned as a second lieutenant and working in the operations department. He retired from the Air National Guard as a major in 1998. Also, while living in Maryland Tony served as a volunteer paramedic and he and Barbara served annually at the Montgomery County Fair becoming lifetime members. Tony was an avid golfer and loved cooking on the grill.
Tony was preceded in death by his parents, Isabelle Mariany Kulenek and Charles Rudolph Kulenek.
Tony is survived by his wife, Barbara, of 48 years; son Jim "Pete" Kulenek (Kathy). He was a wonderful "Gramps" to three grandchildren, Samuel Kulenek, Matthew Kulenek (Rebecca) and Alaney Kulenek. He is also survived by his brother, Richard Kulenek (Joanna); sisters, Christine Deas (Jeff), and Susan Guiffre.
A Memorial Service will be conducted on Wednesday, November 23, 2022 at 1:00 pm at Trahan Family Funeral Home in Pensacola. The family will receive friends on Wednesday November 23, 2022 from 12:00 pm until the time of the service at 1:00 pm.
