It is with deep sadness that we share the passing of our beloved father, Thomas James Kvach, Sr., on October 26, 2025. Born on January 4, 1948, in Lorain, Ohio, Tom was a proud graduate of Avon High School Class of 1965. In 1966, he married his high school sweetheart, Sandra (Shelton), with whom he shared 45 wonderful years.

Tom was a devoted father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend whose generous spirit and love for his community will never be forgotten. He spent over 30 years as an Electrical Estimator and Project Manager and was a proud supporter of Avon athletics. He dedicated countless hours as a CYO coach, Avon Athletic Booster Board Member, and Avon Little League President. Tom also served as a volleyball, basketball, and baseball official for more than 25 years. His dedication to his hometown extended to public service as an Avon City Councilman and as a volunteer for the Lorain County Board of Elections.

He will be remembered for his warm heart, easy smile, and unwavering commitment to his family. Tom loved spending time with his grandchildren and, in his spare time, enjoyed golfing and traveling with his late wife and lifelong friends. His legacy of kindness, service, and love will continue to inspire all who knew him.

Tom is survived by his children Tom Jr. (Joanne), Lauren (Fred), and Erin (Favorite); his grandchildren Tom III (Jackie), Tyler (Denise), and Joey; and his great-grandchildren Joanna, Amelia, and Maverick. He is also survived by his brother James (Kathy) of Virginia, and many loving brothers- and sisters-in-law, nephews, and nieces who fondly called him "Botch."

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife Sandra, and his parents Frank and Anna (Svec) Kvach.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Monday, November 3, 2025, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Misencik Funeral Home in Avon, where family and friends are invited to gather and share memories. Interment will take place at St. Joseph Cemetery in Avon on Tuesday, November 4, 2025, at 9:00 AM. All are welcome to attend.

Tom participated in The Turn, an adaptive golf program that transforms the lives of individuals with physical disabilities through fitness and the power of sport. Memorial contributions may be made online to The Turn – Changing Course. Improving Life. at www.jointheturn.org.

The family would like to extend a heartfelt thankyou to the administration and staff at Avon Oaks Nursing Home for providing excellent care over the past 14 years. We consider you part of the Kvach family and deeply appreciate the love and kindness you showed him throughout his residence.

He will be deeply missed.

I will always remember Tom and Sandra. May he rest in peace and G_D receives his soul for eternity. Tom always had a good heart and I will always remember the school days we shared.
