Thomas LeClair Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Windsor Locks Funeral Home on Jan. 1, 2026.
Thomas F. LeClair, 63, of Windsor Locks, passed away peacefully on Monday, December 29, 2025, at home, surrounded by his loving family.

Born in Hartford, Connecticut on May 16, 1962, Thomas was the son of Doris (Hebert) LeClair and the late Perley LeClair. He was a lifelong resident of Windsor Locks and took great pride in the community he always called home.

Thomas worked for many years in industrial saw blade sales before retiring. A graduate of Paul Smith's College with a degree in forestry, he had an avid love for the outdoors and worked as a lumberjack for many years. In recent years, he discovered a creative passion for lapidary work enjoying crystal and jewelry crafting. He was also an avid woodworker, hunter, and fisherman. Some of his favorite early memories were spending summers in Maine with his family at his uncle's cabin in Moosehead Lake, and in more recent years in Rangeley Lake. One of his favorite things was summer truck rides through the back roads of CT with his best buddy Banjo and bluegrass on the radio. He was an avid tomato lover and would spend late summer days going to his favorite farm stands around Suffield looking for the perfect "red orbs". He loved spending time with his dogs, who he affectionately labeled his "fur bearing friends" Tiger, Cooper, Marley and of course his best buddy Banjo. In his later years, he enjoyed a typical Saturday getting Dunkin and going shopping with his favorite shopping partner Ashley, who he always talked into stopping at every tomato stand between Southwick and South Windsor and spending time with his mom getting breakfast, running errands, or going to the Y. Sundays were reserved for his New York Giants. Thomas loved to cook, experimenting with different flavors and spices to make the perfect dish. His food will be missed by all those who enjoyed it.

He leaves his cherished daughter, Ashley LeClair, and her boyfriend, Andrew Vranes, of Windsor Locks; two brothers, Dwayne LeClair and his wife Beth, and Gary LeClair and his wife Donna; his sister, Denice Donnelly and her husband Steve; and his beloved nieces and nephews, Jessica LeClair, Danielle LeClair, Adam LeClair, Aidan Donnelly, Hunter Donnelly, Brittany LeClair, and Brian LeClair.

So sorry to hear about Tom's passing. I have fun memories of Tom, when Denice and I were inseparable in MS/HS. He had a great laugh and was so happy when Ashley was born. Many hugs and love to all of the LeClair family.
