Thomas R. Lloyd Jr., of Rio Rancho, NM, 56 passed away suddenly on June 27th, 2023.
Tom was born on March 16, 1967, in White Haven, PA. Growing up, Tom was always the class clown, making people laugh and filling their life with joy. After Tom graduated from high school, he quickly joined the U.S. Air Force in 1985 where Tom served 26 years, 21 years in the medical field, and 5 years as a first sergeant. Tom retired at the rank of MSgt.
In 1987, Tom met his wife Corky of 36 years at Hanscom AFB. Tom and Corky went on to have 2 children, Sarah, and Tyler. Through their children, Tom grandfathered 5 grandchildren, Emmalee, Evalyn, Marybelle, Ryan Jamison, and Josias.
During his long and successful military career, Tom was stationed at Hanscom AFB, Kadena AFB, Ramstein AFB, Bitburg AFB, and Lakenheath AFB. During his time of service, Tom also deployed several times to various combat zones.
Tom was a good man who always tried to see the best in people and would help anyone he possibly could. He was hard-working, funny, and dedicated and loved spending time with his family, horses and going on motorcycle rides. One of Tom’s passions was that he loved to travel to all the fun tourist places in the US.
Tom was cremated at Daniels Funeral Home and his remains will be staying with his family.
On July 16th the local Combat Veterans Motorcycle Association will be giving him a last ride to honor him. The ride will start at the VFW 5890 in Rio Rancho at 10 AM and will end at the VFW 401 in ABQ where we will have one last fun family get-together in his memory. The event will be from 10 AM to 1 PM if you would like to attend.

I have never met any of Tom's family but would like to offer each of them my most sincere condolences at the unexpected loss of a good man, great husband, father, and grandfather. I only knew Tom through the context of seeking his help and service in moving heavy and cumbersome furniture. Tom never let me down and was always there to help whenever and wherever I needed him. He also taught me some things about managing and moving such items without also managing to hurt myself in the process. Tom knew what he was doing and had the proper moving equipment to make it all happen. Tom was a very good teacher, an honest man, and an expert in every aspect of his moving business. I truly liked Tom, and I am saddened to learn of his recent passing. May God Bless you Tom, as well as Keep and Protect your entire family and all of your loved ones, including some good horses. Very nice to see a photo of you and that beautiful Chestnut! You won't be forgotten my friend. Rest in Peace.

Tom was a wonderful man. When I found out he loved horses, well that says it all. Thank you Tom.
