Thomas M. Lyons, of Mendon, NY died Wednesday, September 17, 2025, at age 83. He was born in Grove City, PA in 1942, to the late John and Alathea Woodall Lyons. Tom was a graduate of Gannon University before moving to Webster, NY in 1967. Tom worked at Xerox Corporation Manufacturing for 31 years in Webster. He was a dedicated community volunteer throughout his life, having served in West Webster and Mendon Fire Departments, National Ski Patrol at Bristol Mountain and American Red Cross. Spending fun time with his grandchildren was his greatest treasure.
He is survived by his wife Darliene, sons Gary (Michelle) Lyons, Stacy (Joan) Cunningham, Keith (Stephanie) Cunningham, daughter Jennifer (Michael) Lane, daughter-in-law Dr. Deanna Lyons, and 9 grandchildren. Tom was predeceased by his son, Mark Lyons.
Friends may call Friday, September 26, 2025, from 5-7 pm at the Merton H. Kays Funeral Home, Inc., 59 Monroe Street, Honeoye Falls, NY where a prayer will be said by the Mendon Fire Department Chaplin. There will be no formal funeral services and burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Mendon Fire Department or the West Webster Fire Department.
